I had to explain my reservation details not once, but twice. The long walk from the parking lot to the entrance in bad weather was difficult for me and my husband.

Location: the hotel was just off the waterfront which is in the process of being upgraded/redeveloped, other restaurants and bars along Cumberland and Red River Road and the Bay. Ate at Thai Kitchen, it's relatively near the venue.

The Delta Hotel in Thunder Bay offers cozy accommodations with a clean king-sized bed, made for a restful night. The location near the marina allowed for beautiful scenic walks. I appreciated having ample parking space, a huge plus in a bustling area. The restaurant experience was disappointing. Service was slow, and after waiting 45 minutes without being attended to, I opted to leave. I encountered issues with the shower's water pressure, which could have been better. Despite the nice views from my room, noise from nearby trains made it challenging to sleep at times.

The views of the harbor were a lovely touch that added to my stay. The parking situation was a bit inconvenient as it was located at least a block away from the hotel entrance, which could be challenging during bad weather.

The gym was a great size with good equipment, and we really enjoyed the live jazz band in the restaurant one evening. The staff were excellent, especially a server named aidan who gave us great tips about local spots.
